Back to school breakfasts made easy

School mornings have a way of shrinking. You think you have plenty of time and then suddenly you have five minutes, a missing shoe, and a child who has decided today is the day they want to discuss something at length.

Mornings like that are what Creamline deliveries are made for. Everything arrives at your door in time to get the fridge stocked before the morning really gets going.

Here are three breakfast ideas that work even on the busiest mornings.

Granola with yogurt and fresh fruit

Cereal is an obvious go-to because it’s quick and straightforward, but when you choose wholefood granola and add some yoghurt and fruit, it becomes a properly filling breakfast without any extra effort.

Simply spoon some granola into a bowl, add a dollop of Ann Forshaw's yogurt and a handful of your child’s favourite berries or sliced fruit. It takes two minutes, with no cooking, and it keeps your child going until lunch.

Boiled eggs and toast soldiers

It’s a classic for a reason, and it’s quicker than it sounds. Just six minutes for a soft boil, and a couple of minutes for the toast.

Our free-range eggs  are sourced from local farms up in the Lake District, are available to order through our Daily Essentials shop, and come from well looked-after hens that are vaccinated against salmonella. You can also pick up a loaf of sliced bread (thicker slices always make the best soldiers for dipping), or make midweek mornings a little bit special with a freshly baked bloomer from Thatchers Bakery over on Best of Local.

Porridge with whole milk and honey

Porridge made with whole milk is much creamier and more filling than when you make it with water. It’s also packed with calcium and vitamin B to help make it an even more nutritious breakfast for your child. Add a drizzle of local honey on top to add something for your little one’s sweet tooth, and you’re sorted. Add a sliced banana if there is one going.

Creamline whole milk is a Daily Essentials staple, and this simple porridge works as a make-ahead option if you have an especially early start.

When do Creamline deliver?

Our friendly roundspeople deliver early in the morning several days a week, so you’re not rushing to fit in a supermarket trip the night before. Add your essentials to your regular order and we take care of the rest – it's just one less thing on your to-do list before the school run starts.

To find your Creamline delivery days, pop your postcode into our website – you’ll also find the name of your local roundsperson!
