for crafty adventures. However, when it comes to your glass milk bottles, don’t
forget to leave them out for your milkman so that they can continue being rinsed,
reused and recycled! So, here are three innovative and eco-friendly ways to
give your glass pots and jars a new lease of life…
Mini terrariums
This one is perfect for glass yogurt pots or small jars of
tomato sauce, chutneys, jams and more. Transform your empty pots and jars into
miniature worlds of greenery. First add a small layer of pebbles or rocks. Next
layer on some soil, ensuring there’s enough so your tiny plant roots can sit
comfortably inside. Gently place a small plant like an air plant into the soil.
Pencils come in handy when planting: use them to fill and flatten the soil
around it. Make sure your plant has enough room to grow a little. Now add
decorative pebbles, moss or even a touch of glitter for a sparkly finish. These
mini terrariums make for charming desk or windowsill decorations that you can
watch grow over time.
Quirky desk organisers
Spruce up your workspace by repurposing your empty yogurt pots
and jars into quirky desk organisers. With a splash of paint (ensure you use
acrylic, tempera, or poster paint – or special glass paint if you have it!),

they can also sound good too! You can turn your empty glass into a mini drum

Gather a few of your glass jars and pots of varying sizes, making sure they’ve
been thoroughly cleaned and dried. Then wrap the pot and jar openings with
colourful balloons or rubber bands to create different drumming surfaces. Kids
