- Half leg of lamb (1-1.3kg)
- Whole chicken (1.4-1.6kg)

- 350g pack of bacon
- Garlic and herb potatoes (700g)
- 500g carrots
- Head of broccoli
- Whole swede
Hot cross bun sausage & bacon butties
Trust us, it works. All you need to do is pick up some hot cross buns from our local bakery Thatchers.
Pop the bacon and sausages from your hamper under the grill or in a frying pan, and cook until crispy. Make sure to do all the rashers, because you’ll need them for later! Meanwhile, toast the hot cross buns to make them lovely and golden.
Stack up sliced sausages and bacon on the buttered hot cross buns, drizzle on your favourite ketchup or brown sauce, and tuck into the tastiest Easter breakfast.
Traditional Easter roast
The half leg of lamb in this hamper is the perfect Sunday roast centrepiece. Season it with garlic, rosemary and olive oil, and put it in the oven for 60-75 minutes at 190°C. Remember to rest the meat for at least 10 minutes before serving to keep it all delicious and juicy.
If you’ve got the whole family round for Easter you’ll want to do the roast chicken as well as the lamb. Keep it classic with plenty of herbs, such as rosemary and sage. Timings will depend on the weight of the chicken, but roasting it at 200°C for 20 minutes for every 500g should ensure you get juicy meat with crispy skin.
Serve it up with a generous portion of veg included in the hamper – roasted carrots, broccoli, and golden garlic roast potatoes. And of course, top it all off with a good pour of gravy!
Chicken Caesar salad
Use up some delicious leftovers with this tasty lunch perfect for the bank holiday Monday. The extra bacon rashers from the butties and any leftover roast chicken come together in a quick, easy Caesar salad. Because let’s be honest, after doing a full Sunday roast the day before, you’ll want something straightforward with minimal cooking. The only thing you’ll need to pick up is some lettuce leaves and a bottle of Caesar dressing (if you don’t already have one hiding in your fridge somewhere).
Just pile the salad leaves into a large bowl and toss them in the dressing until fully coated. Next, add your chicken and bacon and stir again. That’s it!
